Helical Convolex Tubing

HCTE

Used as a conduit to provide mechanical protection for electrical wiring systems in applications requiring flexibility, high-temperature performance and good resistance to a variety of fluids.  Widely used in the military and commercial aerospace industries.  Can be used in conjunction with other Raychem brand components to form an integrated harnessing system.

Operating Temperature Range

-55oC to 200o

Annular Convolex Tubing

Convolex

Convolex non heat-shrinkable tubing is manufacture from radiation cross-linked Polyvinylidene fluoride.  It forms the basis of a total harnessing system, comprising strain tape, terminations and TE Raychem branded heat-shrinkable molded parts.  Convoled tubing offers good resistance to mechanical damage in the form of abrasion resistance and high crush strength, whilst being extremely light.

Operating temperature range

-55oC to 150o

Typical Applications

  • Protection over wire harness bundle
  • Protect equipment cables from abrasion
  • Use in temporary or prototype circuits
