In this notice, we inform TE’s consumers who are based in the United States that have introduced State privacy laws and regulations about their privacy rights.

 

For the collection and processing of your personal information TE’s website privacy policy and TE’s cookie policy apply as well unless this Notice provides different rights.

TE collects the following types of information

When visiting our websites, we will collect your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address as well as other information, such as browser, device type, domain, host names, pages viewed and viewing patterns, as well as the country/region where you are located.

 

Once you complete an account on our website or another webform we can collect your contact details including name, email address, physical address, company name, function and phone number, as well as your industry of interest. When you place an order in the TE Store we also collect information relating to your purchase.

Purposes for which we use your personal information

Selling or sharing of personal information

TE does not sell your personal information as such for monetary consideration. Still, we may provide personal information to TE distributors and certain business partners for sales and marketing purposes. We may also provide third parties personal information for behavioral marketing, which may be considered a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioral advertisingunder certain US state privacy laws.

 Global Privacy Control (GPC). GPC is a browser-based setting or extension that automatically sends a signal to the websites you visit indicating that you do not want your personal information sold or shared. Where required by applicable US state law, we recognise and honour the GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of the use of your personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

 

Opting out via GPC does not require you to submit a separate request or verify your identity.
