DEUTSCH STRIKE Connector Overview & Assembly Instructions (English)

Learn about our heavy-duty DEUTSCH STRIKE connectors which feature a lever lock for mating. Watch this video for an overview of the connectors and for step-by-step instructions on inserting and removing contacts, as well as mating and unmating.

Contact Insertion

  1. Ensure TPA locking is open.
  2. Hold the connector with the rear grommet/wire router facing you.
  3. Push contact straight into the grommet until a positive stop is felt. A slight tug will confirm that it is properly locked in place.
  4. Push to close the TPA. TPA will not close unless all contacts are fully seated in the connector.

Contact Removal

  1. Remove the TPA with the appropriate removal tools.
  2. Unlock the contacts and pull on the wire.
