Segment Protectors
Segment protectors for the Foundation Fieldbus network are tap changers that incorporate electronic short-circuit protection at each tap point of the network. They are available with 4, 6, or 8 tap points and can be supplied in a plastic or metal enclosure in the general-purpose version.
Segment protectors are splicers that incorporate electronic short-circuit protection for each network segment and its branches. All versions are supplied with cable glands and a double plug-in connector for network input/output and plug-in connectors for the branches (spurs).
