Patient Monitoring Cable Assembly

Patient Monitoring Cable Assemblies

TE’s patient monitoring cable assemblies are designed to withstand the harsh environments of diagnostic equipment, including ECG, EEG, TENS, temperature, SpO2 and invasive blood pressure monitors.

Connect to a higher standard of patient monitoring connectivity. Patient monitoring cable assemblies transmit signals from electrodes or sensors placed on the patient's body to the monitoring instrument that processes the signals.

Whether you are facing a complex or simple design challenge, our engineering expertise in cables, molding, and assemblies allows us to design for manufacturability, while also designing for biocompatibility, high voltage, and flexibility requirements. TE will partner with you to custom design cost-effective, high-quality cable and interconnects that are reliable through multiple mate and de-mate cycles, exposure to chemicals, and harsh environments including hospitals, clinics, and homes.

Patient-End Connectors

Different monitoring systems require different patient-end connectors. TE has expertise in designing and sourcing a diversity of electrode and sensor connectors.

System Connectors

The system connector must survive multiple mate-demate cycles while reliably transferring signals from the cable assembly to the monitoring instrument. TE can design in standard connectors, like a USB or D-subminiature, or custom connectors with special functions such as unique key configurations or illumination to fit the needs of your end-user.

Patient Lead Wires

Patient lead wires connect sensors and electrodes located all over the body to the main trunk cable. TE can provide a number of solutions to help meet the needs of your patient lead wires, including shielded or unshielded; individual or ribbonized; standard or anatomical; reusable or single-use.

Yoke

Filtering, signal processing, or energy protection components are often located in the cable yoke in patient monitoring applications. TE can help you find the right balance of electrical performance, mechanical properties and value for your unique application.

Trunk Cables

Durability requirements are critical when designing trunk cables that must perform, even when twisted, stepped on or rolled over by heavy hospital equipment. TE performs rigorous testing to help you meet the challenging use environments you identify..

Optical Sensors

TE has customizable OEM Pulse Oximetry (SpO₂) Probe Platforms to fit any product portfolio. Whether expanding an existing offering or starting from scratch, one or all of our three platforms will surely suit your needs. Our three platforms are disposable, reusable finger clip and soft silicone boot.

Temperature Sensors

TE's line of 400-series, sterile, single-use temperature probes, in multiple styles, meet specific continuous patient temperature monitoring applications.
