Overview
Our Raychem LVBT Busbar Insulation Tapes are designed to be compatible with other products in the low voltage insulation range, and are suitable for complex busbar geometries and restricted access areas. Where no open end is available or when equipment cannot be dismantled, these tapes provide the optimum solution. When the Busbar Insulation Tapes are wrapped around a substrate and shrunk down by applying heat, the clear adhesive melts and amalgamates the overlapping layer of tapes together forming wraparound tubes. Although they stick to themselves, the busbar insulation tapes do not adhere to busbars or hardware and can be easily removed for maintenance. The Busbar Insulation Tapes provide flashover protection up to 1 kV in applications where tubing is not suitable for use. They can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications and are easily installed over a wide variety of substrate shapes including complex connections.
