Overview

Our Raychem HVSY-1520S series WYE Tap Splices can be used on copper tape, wire shield, lead sheath, and UniShield cables.  HVSY-1580D series is used as a wye splice where the main and/or tap cables may be paper-insulated, lead-covered (PILC) cable; varnished cambric-insulated, or lead covered (VCLC) cable.

Our HVSY series is designed to seal against moisture ingress by including a branch clip and our heavy-duty heat shrink wraparound sleeve MBSM.

Answer: Yes, our Raychem WYE Tap Splices can be installed in different environments, due to their versatile and compact design.

 

Question: Are TE's Raychem Heat Shrink WYE Tap Splices compatible with compression and shear bolt connectors?

Answer: Although the basic design of HVSY joints can be installed just with compression H connectors and a soldering system; we have a special range of branch joints that can be installed with a special Y shearbolt connector.

 

Question: Can TE's Raychem WYE Tap Splices be installed with a tape shield or wire shield?

Answer: Yes, our WYE Tape splice can be installed with any of those cable types, as long as you follow proper installation instructions.
