Answer: Wrap Around Creepage Extenders (HVCE-WA): Provide 150 mm of additional creepage. Heat Shrink Creepage Extenders (HVCE): Provide 100 mm of additional creepage.

Question: How many creepage extenders do I need to improve my insulator or bushing pollution rating?

Answer: TE Connectivity typically recommends installing enough creepage extenders to increase the effective creepage distance by at least 20%. This can improve the pollution class rating by one classification according to IEC 60815.
