Overview

Our Raychem BCAC Bushing Guards range has been successfully eliminating outages from all types of animals for years. The Bushing Guard uses a scissor-action design to allow for live installations on bushing skirts, ranging in core diameter from 1.7" (43 mm) to 2.7" (68 mm) and in shed diameter from 3.0" (75 mm) to 4.75" (120 mm). The scissor action translates the force at contact with the bushing core into a rotational motion that closes the cover around the bushing.

The Bushing Guard is made from rugged, non-tracking, UV-resistant Raychem polymer, which helps ensure long-term performance in outdoor, high-voltage, and extreme environmental conditions.
