Raychem APKT 1.8/3 kV heat shrink joint is suitable for single to 5 cores of unscreened insulating solar cable, up to 3 kV. This highly shrinkable tubing only uses 2 sizes to cover a full regular cable size range, insulation OD from 14 mm to 60 mm. Its high-sealing performance mastic S1061, offers reliable protection for solar cable connections.
Our APKT can be easily installed in the field using a gas torch or hot air. The main body used in APKT is high performance HVOT tubing, with a continuous operating temperature rating up to 105°C (221°F). This provides excellent field-proven mechanical and electrical performance. Raychem APKT heat shrink joint is tested in accordance with JB/T 7829-2006, ensuring decades of operating life.
