SMC (SubMiniature version C) RF Connectors are compact threaded coaxial connectors that are designed for use in high-performance, vibration-resistant, and high-frequency applications. Their subminiature size makes them ideal for space-constrained and high-density PCB layouts. SMC connectors have the same internal interface as SMB connectors but use a 10-32 UNF threaded coupling that provides secure, reliable, and frequently semi-permanent connections. SMC connectors typically operate from DC up to 10 GHz, with some operating up to 12.4 GHz, and have both 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm impedance options. SMC connectors are often used in telecommunication, testing equipment, and aerospace applications.
