TE Connectivity’s Singapore AI Hub convened Amazon Web Services (AWS) and leading universities to co‑develop and showcase practical AI solutions for manufacturing and engineering, strengthening Singapore’s innovation ecosystem and speeding ideas from lab to shop floor.
The two-day event featured technology insights from scholars at A*STAR and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), alongside Generative AI experts from TE. Students from National University of Singapore (NUS), NTU and Singapore Management University (SMU) showcased cutting-edge research through poster exhibitions, while AWS led hands-on solution demos.
A highlight of the event was the AI Hackathon, where teams tackled real-world challenges in Generative AI and Engineering AI.
“We know that innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we actively build bridges, with ecosystem partners such as academia, startups and SMEs. Together, we can co-develop and scale solutions that no single organization could achieve alone, strengthening Singapore’s position as a global AI hub,” said Rodney Martens, engineering fellow and senior director of TE’s Singapore Corporate Technology Center.

The event fulfilled its objectives of fostering collaboration, nurturing AI talent, and accelerating solution development for TE and Singapore’s broader ecosystem. Building on this momentum, the TE Singapore AI Hub plans to host more initiatives in 2026 focused on advancing people, partnerships and innovations in support of TE’s goal to impact 10 million people through STEM education by 2030.
