Jun (Jason) Chang is a senior engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. He currently serves as Engineering Director, Sensors where he leads TE’s global R&D teams across Asia and the Americas.
Jason has been with TE for more than 16 years and is passionate about building strong teams and turning complex engineering challenges into practical, reliable products. He has led large teams responsible for developing automotive sensors, EV battery connectivity, and automotive wireless products. Across his career, he has guided the launch of new connectors and sensors that have generated long-term growth for both regional and global customers. He is experienced in setting technical strategy, managing budgets and talent, improving cost and efficiency, and delivering projects on time and at scale.
Earlier in his career, Jason invented a patented Virtual Crimp System that significantly lowered product validation costs at Delphi. He holds a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and is a DFSS Black Belt, valued for practical leadership, disciplined execution, and a strong focus on business outcomes.
