TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors,  has introduced a range of anti-vandal illuminated and non-illuminated piezo switches. AVP Series switches are intended for use in various applications, including industrial control products, communication equipment and medical equipment. They come in various sizes, with bushing diameters of 16mm, 19mm and 22mm.

“These new switches are strong and sturdy,” said Zackary Noel, TE product manager. “Obviously they have no moving parts, which reduces wear. Plus, they dissipate heat very efficiently, are corrosion-resistant and rated IP68 for dust and water resistant. The AVP switches also have long (500mm) leads, which help make them easy to install.”

Other specifications and features:

  • Actuation of the switches is momentary (MOM. Pulse 200mS Min.)
  • Operating lifetime is up to 50 million cycles
  • Flat, high flat and concave button types
  • All switches have a contact rating of 5-24VDC / 1A, 5-24VAC / 1A
