Horticulture Lighting

Horticultural lighting requires fixtures be easy to install and compatible with a wide range of wiring techniques that an installer may use in an equally wide range of end applications. Installations require a range of connectors to handle the low current/low voltage DC power to the light engines, low power control circuits, as well as the higher power AC connection to the drivers.

Commercial applications can span tens of thousands of square feet and installation of lighting fixtures is a major expense. These large installations depend on easy to use, reliable, harsh environment interconnects to minimize installation time and ensure when the switch is flipped, the lights come on, every time.

Products for fixture assemblies

TE’s fixture connect solutions are engineered for improved manufacturability and faster installation. Our low-profile, easy-install connectors, terminations, and power line filters save time and integrate into new or existing LED fixtures.

Power-to-Luminaire Connectors: Our Nector S connector is a small, two-position power-to-luminaire connector designed to meet the lighting industry’s need for a compact, easy-to-install interconnect solution. This 7.5mm connector can easily fit in an 8 mm opening compared to other connectors that require much larger openings.

IPX8 RATED IN-LINE SPLICES: CoolSplice Connectors are IPx8 rated in-line splices suitable for outdoor applications. Wire termination is done independently by inserting a wire into the end of the connector and pushing down the color coded button with a standard pair of pliers.

POWER LINE FILTERS: CORCOM FB series power line filters are specially designed for fluorescent and LED light fixtures that utilize ballasts or drivers in up to 277VAC applications.

LIGHT ENGINE INTERCONNECTS

Our interconnect solutions help integrate light engines into todays' modern horticultural lighting systems. We offer low-profile interconnects, in surface mount and through-hole board mount configurations as well as panel mount and free hanging wire to wire versions that are designed to enable faster and more efficient connections.

SMT Poke-In connectors: BUCHANAN WireMate 4.0mm pitch modular connector for Wire-to-Board connectivity. The poke-in feature allows for easy and fast installation and its modular design enables a flexible solution.

Separable Wire-to-Board Connector: Low profile Micro MATE-N-LOK connector excels in tight spaces and includes right-angle surface-mount headers and mating cable connectors.

Miniature Wire-to-Board connectors: Our SlimSeal Miniature series connector is a dust and waterproof, IP67-rated connector available in two and three position configurations. A robust press-to-release spring latch helps secure connector mating. Different colors enable easy identification and flexibility in design.

LED Holders: LUMAWISE LED holders mechanically secure and electrically connect the LED to a luminaire without the need to solder. Sockets allow the LED to be directly attached to a PCB or heat sink using a few standard screws.
