High Throughput RAST 2.5 PCB Connectors
The AMP DUOPLUG 2.5 connector system is a wire-to-board solution designed to meet RAST 2.5 standards. The connectors feature an insulation displacement contact (IDC) that supports high volume wire termination without stripping or crimping. Color and keying meeting RAST standards is implemented by optional marking and cutting units in TE’s custom application tooling. These automatic and semi-automatic tooling products can support termination of complex wire harness layouts, as well as mass wire termination. AMP DUOPLUG 2.5 connectors mate to printed circuit boards (PCBs) by either direct edge mounting or indirect mounting using RAST 2.5 PCB headers. Applications for these connectors include appliances, consumer electronics, and transportation.
