Free Height Stacking Connectors: Flexible Stacking Solutions for Mezzanine Connections
Free height connectors are two-piece, open pin field connectors designed for use in parallel stacking board-to-board applications. The free height connector grouping consists of vertical board-mount receptacles and plug assemblies. TE Connectivity (TE) offers these connectors in various combinations of plug and receptacle height, providing design flexibility with the ability to vary the spacing between parallel boards.
TE offers a stacking connector portfolio that includes free height, fine stack and fine mate connectors. These products provide various flexible stacking solutions for mezzanine (vertical, parallel stacking board-to-board) connections. 0.5MM FREE HEIGHT CONNECTORS
Overview
Our 0.5mm Free Height Connectors connect computer-on-module (COM) and COM Express modules to carrier boards. They enable various spacing options between parallel PCBs from 4mm to 8mm and 20 to 440 pin configurations. The new generation of of 0.5mm free height COM connectors can support up to 25 GT/s data transmission with compatibility with PCIe Gen 4 applications.

Our 0.8mm free height connectors are vertical board mount plugs and receptacles that are available in stacking heights ranging from 5mm to 20mm in 1mm increments. They can address OCP Mezzanine Card 2.0 with data speed up to 32 Gbps.
