TE's Raychem end caps provide optimum water-proofing and environmental protection for underwater, underground and outdoor applications. The end caps are highly resistant to moisture, fungus and weathering. End caps are also available with a pre-coat sealant. A large range-taking ability allows for a few sizes of heat-shrinkable caps to accommodate a variety of cable diameters.

Heat-Shrinkable End Caps
SSC heat-shrinkable end caps are made from a thermally stabilized, modified polyolefin, which makes them highly resistant to moisture, fungus and weathering. The end caps also have excellent electrical properties. End caps coated with sealant are available for underwater or underground applications with a pressure differential up to 20 psi between the inside of the cable and the outside environment. These caps may be used over lead, steel, aluminum, copper, polyethylene, polyolefin, EPR and PVC jacketing materials.
