Radio Tuners
TE Connectivitys HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY tuner systems enable the reception of radio broadcast services, both terrestrial and satellite. We can deliver Radio Tuners in a host of configurations, in nearly any type of vehicle and for every major global and regional standard. Our systems are very flexible to customer layout requirements. We specialize in radio signal processing that yields a clean audio stream for further sound processing. A vehicle’s main infotainment system controls our Radio Tuner and defines what service is received. Our solutions allow the implementation of radio functionality in a very short time frame, and allow our customers to benefit from our deep experience in reception systems.
The HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY Radio Tuners are available in different designs, as tuner cards and remote tuner modules. The tuner cards are engineered to be individually integrated in existing head units and to work with the surrounding system. The remote tuner modules can easily be installed stand-alone as a complete reception system at a suitable place in the vehicle. Mounted close to the antenna, the module even offers the possibility to eliminate the antenna amplifier, saving space and system cost.

TV Tuners
TE's HIRSCHMANN MOBILITY automotive grade TV tuners get used for rear-seat entertainment and head-unit applications, using proven technology for high-quality mobile digital TV reception. Our tuners are engineered for Automotive’s extended temperature range, service lifetime and reliability requirements. We work with OEMs to optimize space saving, system power consumption, electromagnetic interference shielding and overall design integration.
