Our Raychem RPIT Plug-In Terminations separable connectors are designed for both aluminum or copper conductors in accordance with IEC 60228 and are compatible with inner cone bushings size 2 (800 A) and size 3 (1250 A) as per EN 50180/EN 50181. RPIT product series are available for system voltages from 12 kV up to 52 kV for any type of cable and are compliant with CENELEC HD 629.1.S2:2006- A1:2008 (up to 42 kV) and IEC 60840 (52 kV). In addition, RPIT terminations can be customized with an optional voltage detection point and a special material composition for harsh environments.

The inner cone termination incorporates a high-quality contact system which ensures reliable current transmission from the cable conductor to the busbar. The electrical interfaces between the silicone stress relief cone to the cable and the bushing are kept permanently sealed using a pressure component. This element is housed in the protection cover, which is sealed with heat-shrinkable tubing.

We make the installation and plug-in of inner cone terminations simple by using silicone component and offering an easy-to-handle installation tool, which is compatible with industry-wide standards.

Question: We currently use inner cone termination from another supplier. Can we use Raychem RPIT Plug-in Termination?

Answer: Yes, the medium voltage bushing is made according to EN50180/50181 standard, which enables the exchangeability of plug-in terminations, independently of their manufacturers.

 

Question: Is there any specific tool available to install Plug-In Termination System?

Answer: Yes, we designed a specific tool box, to install our Raychem RPIT very easily and quickly. Learn more.

 

Question: Which voltage range does Plug-In Termination System cover?

Answer: Our Raychem RPIT for inner cone bushings size 3 can cover voltage up to 52kV (1250A). Our Raychem RPIT for inner cone bushings size 2, covers up to 42 kV (800A).
