The HV termination can operate under severe environmental conditions to meet the requirements of the customer. The termination is designed such that it is compatible with polymeric insulated cables independent of the manufacturer and can be adapted for various cable constructions.

The self-supporting insulator structure is available for heat shrink terminations up to 72 kV with different creepage lengths, covering extreme pollution levels. The insulator kit comes with an isolated base plate for sectionalizing. The metal fitting associated with the termination are manufactured from corrosion-resistant alloy. The installation of the termination can be done by trained installer equipped with conventional tools.
The termination is designed and tested according

to IEC 60840. The insulator structure is designed and tested according to IEC 62217.
The termination can be combined with TE’s SIMAFLEX high voltage clamps which are designed to support and connect overhead aluminium flexible conductors to copper or aluminium equipment terminals. The mechanical connection bolts used for fixing have a diameter in the range

of 30/40/50 mm.
