This type of connector is designed to integrate circuitry in small spaces. Engineered for reliable mechanical and electrical connections in communication applications including desktop PCs and servers, these sockets support the current SDRAM and DDR memory generations and the new DDR2, DDR3, and DDR4 as well as FBDIMM generations. Our portfolio includes vertical, right-angle, and various-angled configurations in solder tail, press fit, and surface-mount (SMT) mounting options. On complex printed circuits, which are too valuable to risk direct soldering to expensive integrated circuits (ICs), our IC sockets simplify board design, enabling quick repair or replacement. The result is lower service costs, simple reprogramming, future expansion, factory testing and burn-in, and manufacturing ease.

In desktop and notebook computers, our memory sockets – made to JEDEC industry standards – offer single in-line memory modules (SIMM), dual in-line memory modules (DIMM), and custom memory modules. For servers and workstations, we offer land grid array (LGA) packages in a cost-effective solution for reliable interconnection to the microprocessor package, with a single lever handle for package actuation. In digital cameras and smartphones, our memory card connectors and SIM card connector solutions support quick, reliable transfer and storage of data. In wireless communication devices, our express mini card sockets and display mini card sockets address interconnect requirements for expansion cards.
