TE plays a major role in connecting critical electronic vehicle networks that enable transmission of data from sensors and systems. TE’s MATEnet modular and scalable automotive ethernet connector series has been able to show a data transmission rate of 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s according to IEEE 100BASE-T1/1000BASE-T1. This can be achieved with standard automotive connectors based on TE’s miniaturized NanoMQS termination system in combination with unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable or shielded twisted-pair (STP) cable.
