Overview

Our Raychem OXSU Heat Shrinkable Outdoor Termination Kits have a specifically formulated electrical stress control compound that is based on extensive experience with Raychem ceramic semiconductor technology. The ZnO-based stress control system is integrated into heat-shrinkable insulating tubing. During heating, the tubing shrinks to the original smaller extruded diameter, fitting tightly over a wide range of cable sizes and profiles. This stress control system fills any irregularities, bonds to the insulation and provides high electrical performance. The heat shrink terminations are sold in kits and can be used with mechanical and compression lugs suitable for both copper and aluminum conductors.

These heat shrink termination kits are perfectly suited for both indoor (IXSU) and outdoor (OXSU) applications for 1-core or 3-core polymeric cables thus guaranteeing the maximum mechanical protection for cable connections.

Question: What comes supplied in TE's Raychem OXSU Heat Shrinkable Outdoor Termination Kits?

Answer: These kits come with an HVOT Termination tube, yellow stress grading mastic and red moisture sealing mastic. Lugs are generally not included in the standard kits to offer you the flexibility to choose between compression or mechanical lugs. The kit includes all materials to complete either 3 single-core or 1 three-core terminations, with the exception of the main conductor phase lug.
