The unique shield design provides protection from fecal and other soluable contaminates coming from above the insulator string.  The RRGS two - piece shield design attaches easily with plastic bolts and nuts around the top of the insulator. TE manufactures designs for both porcelain, glass, polymeric and silicone insulator strings and available in both 450mm (18'') and 600mm (24'') diameter shield designs.

Superior TE’s Raychem high-voltage outdoor materials are used in the RRGS shield design. The rugged, non-tracking, UV-resistant, high temperature polymer ensures long-term performance even in extreme environmental conditions.
