TE's Safety Range
Safety Range is designed to ensure the protection of humans, machinery, and the environment. These reliable solutions provide a large coverage of safety requirements in the fields of industrial automation, robotics, and machinery. The TE safety range is composed of SLC light curtains that offer reliable sensing and monitoring of functional safety and SR safety relays that make the interface between safety light curtains or OSSD (Output signal switching device) and control circuits or equipment of the machine or plant.

Safety Light Curtains
SLC uses a combination of an emitter and a receiver. If no object or people are blocking the beam between the emitter and receiver, the machine is in a secure state and is allowed to operate. On the other hand, if any or all of the light beams are blocked by a human finger, hand or body, the machine determines the situation to be hazardous and turns off the output of the receiver to stop the machine.
Safety Interface Relays
Safety Relays control the safety-related part of control systems in such a way that machine operation is only allowed when safety is confirmed. It supports safety by controlling signals coming from inputs, especially emergency stop switches and locking switches and controls the contactors and other devices connected to the outputs according to the results of this detection.
