EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU

Compliant

These products comply with the substance restrictions of the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). The RoHS2 Directive requires that certain electrical and electronic equipment products do not contain mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, lead, DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP above defined thresholds. Products indicated as 'Compliant' do not contain any of these substances above the prohibition thresholds. Finished electrical and electronic equipment products will be CE marked as required by the Directive. Components may not be CE marked.

 

Compliant with Exemptions

These products comply with the substance restrictions of the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). The RoHS2 Directive requires that certain electrical and electronic equipment products do not contain mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, lead, DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP above defined thresholds. Products indicated as 'Compliant with Exemptions' contain one or more of these substances above the prohibition thresholds, but are compliant by claiming one or more valid exemptions. Finished electrical and electronic equipment products will be CE marked as required by the Directive. Components may not be CE marked.

These products DO NOT comply with the substance restrictions of the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS2). Products indicated as 'Not Compliant' contain one or more restricted substances above the prohibition thresholds. Consequently, these products should NOT be used in any application requiring RoHS2 compliance. 

 

Out of Scope

These are products that TE Connectivity considers to be out of scope for the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). Products indicated as 'Out of Scope' typically are not electrical or electronic in nature, nor would be used in electrical/electronic equipment covered by this Directive. Customers should verify this assessment prior to use.

 

Not Yet Reviewed

These products have not yet been reviewed for compliance with the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2).

 

The 4 Phthalates DEHP, BBP, DPB and DIBP added by amendment 2015/863/EU became restricted as of 22 July 2019 for all electrical and electronic equipment, apart from Categories 8 (medical devise) and 9 (monitoring and control equipment) for which the restriction applies as of 22 July 2021.

EU ELV Directive 2000/53/EC

Compliant

These products comply with the substance restrictions of the End of Live Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV). The ELV Directive requires that materials and components of vehicles do not contain mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and lead above defined thresholds. Products indicated as 'Compliant' do not contain any of these substances above the prohibition thresholds.

 

Compliant with Exemptions

These products comply with the substance restrictions of the End of Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV). The ELV Directive requires that materials and components of vehicles do not contain mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and lead above defined thresholds. Products indicated as ' Compliant with Exemptions' contain one or more of these substances above the prohibition thresholds, but are compliant by claiming one or more valid exemptions.

China RoHS - Environmental Friendly Use Period (EFUP) Symbol

Halogen Content

Low Halogen
These products contain less than 900 ppm of each Bromine, Chlorine and Fluorine, and less than 1500 ppm of Bromine + Chlorine per homogenous material. Products meet Low Halogen definitions in all following industrial standards: IEC 61249-2,  IPC-4101, JPCA-ES-01, JEDEC/ECA joint Standard JS709A and military standard MIL-C-24643 on low smoke zero halogen (LSZH). Products also meet the definitions of Low Bromine/Chlorine and BFR/CFR/PVC Free.

Low Bromine/Chlorine
These products contain less than 900 ppm of Bromine and Chlorine, and less than 1500 ppm of Bromine + Chlorine per homogenous material. May contain Fluorine or content of Fluorine is unknown. Product meet Low Halogen definitions in all following industrial standards: IEC 61249-2, IPC-4101, JPCA-ES-01 and JEDEC/ECA  joint Standard JS709A. Product do NOT meet Low Halogen definitions in military standard MIL-C-24643 on low smoke zero halogen (LSZH). Products also meet definition of BFR/CFR/PVC Free.


BFR/CFR/PVC Free, but Br/Cl >900 ppm in other sources
These products do not contain Brominated Flame Retardant, Chlorinated Flame Retardant or PVC, but contain more than 900 ppm of Bromine and Chlorine in sources other than BFR/CFR/PVC; may also contain Fluorine. Product meet Low Halogen definition in JEDEC/ECA joint Standard JS709A. Product do NOT meet Low Halogen definitions in IEC 61249-2, IPC-4101, JPCA-ES-01 and military standard MIL-C-24643 on low smoke zero halogen (LSZH).


Not Low Halogen
These products contain Brominated Flame Retardant or Chlorinated Flame Retardant or PVC and may also contain Fluorine. Product do NOT meet Low Halogen definitions in all following industrial standards: IEC 61249-2, IPC-4101, JPCA-ES-01, JEDEC/ECA joint Standard JS709A and military standard MIL-C-24643 on low smoke zero halogen (LSZH).
