Our Raychem EPKT Heat Shrink Terminations are recognized to be reliable and fast to install. A proven system: the EPKT heat shrink Terminations give consistent performance in extreme temperatures, atmospheric pollution, and ultra-violet light has proven the insulating and sealing ability of our Raychem cable terminations for more than 35 years.

Ease of installation: They are installed by way of heat-shrinking, this system saves time, eliminates special equipment and simplifies work overhead, and works in confined spaces. Varying cable constructions can be easily accommodated, and every kit typically covers three to four cable sizes. Thus inventories are reduced and stock-keeping minimized.

Performance: Raychem cable terminations meet our specification PPS 3013, which includes the major national standards and international norms requirements and meets CENELEC 50393. High performance and efficiency are the results of our expertise in materials science and electrical power engineering, gained through a sustained research effort and extensive experience as one of the largest cable accessory makers.

Answer: Yes, our EPKT Heat Shrink Terminations are part of our training program. We can offer different installation training options depending on your needs. Question: With what type of conductor can TE's Raychem EPKT Terminations be used?

Answer: Our Raychem EPKT can be used for cables with copper or aluminum conductors both circular or shaped.

 

Question: What is the maximum tail length of the terminations?

Answer: Our standard EPKT terminations can have a max 600mm/phase tail length. This may be extended to maximum of 4 meters total length for all cores combined upon request.

 

Question: Can EPKT terminations be used in both indoor and outdoor applications? 

Answer: Yes, our EPKT Termination can be used in both applications. The main difference is that the outdoor types will always have core protection sleeves included.
