RJ22 connectors are 4-position, 4-contact modular plugs that are commonly used to carry voice or analog signals across telephone and data networks. RJ22 connectors are frequently used in telephone handset cables as well as by some automation providers for in-the-zone network communication devices. Crimping is typically performed on RJ22 connectors to terminate them by using a specific crimping tool. Connections may sometimes be performed in the field, but factory-manufactured RJ cables offer ideal performance.
