BIOFUSE Tubing: Bio Innovation Splice Sealing (BISS)
BISS (Bio Innovation Splice Sealing) is the first innovative bio-based heat shrink tube within TE Connectivity BIOFUSE tubing portfolio. BISS is engineered to offer excellent strain relief, electrical insulation, environmental sealing, high flame retardancy and a high shrink ratio capability, that are equivalent to the performance and characteristics of two existing TE Connectivity Automotive splice sealing products: ES2000 and RBK-ILS.
BISS will continue to provide excellent sealing capabilities, remaining with the same hot melt adhesive that flows in and around the wire and splice configurations, to prevent moisture and fluids entering the tube during application causing potential corrosion and mechanical damage.
Furthermore, BISS continues to provide excellent strain relief, and protect against impact to the wire and splice configurations, and deliver the highest-level of insulation and protection allowing BISS to operate to the specified performance for the specified in application lifetime.
