Insulation Piercing Connectors EP type is specifically designed for connecting a street lighting conductor from an LV ABC to a lamp wire.
EP Connectors can also be used with 1500V DC considering that the maximum carrying capacity of the EP connector is 63A RMS.
These connectors are made of :
- Two bodies in anti UV black resistant thermoplastic fiberglass reinforced
- Two connecting blades in tinned copper
- One protected steel bolt M6 equipped with a metallic shear head nut of
- 10 mm is a standard version or 13 mm if requested
- One flexible fixed end cap that allows inserting small lamp wires
- Seal compound to improve the water-resistance integrity

- Resistant to 6 kV one minute after immersion in water for 30 minutes

Answer: No, by construction, all exposed metallic parts are out of potential during and after connector installation.

Answer: No, our EP connectors are not designed for reuse after dismantling.

Answer: No, EP connectors are equipped with metal blades that pierce the cable insulation and establish a reliable electrical contact between the conductors.
