TE's Ethics & Compliance team designs, develops, implements and monitors our Ethics & Compliance Program.​

Risk assessment

TE’s Ethics and Compliance program is informed by annual company-wide integrated risk assessment. The Ethics and Compliance team may conduct other risk assessments from time-to-time, including but not limited to anti-corruption assessments.

Policies and Standards

The Ethics and Compliance program’s standards for ethical and compliant behavior and prevention and detection of unethical conduct are documented in the Guide to Ethical Conduct and a series of ethics and compliance policies and standard operating procedures, such as policies on Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest and Insider Trading. The Ethics and Compliance program guides the creation, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of consistent ethics and compliance policies, processes and guidelines. ​

Training and Communication

The Ethics and Compliance team develops and implements training and communication plans to effectively educate employees on and promote the Ethics and Compliance program, TE’s values-based culture of integrity, applicable laws, regulations, and TE policies and standards. TE provides yearly training on its Guide to Ethical Conduct and regularly provides training on key compliance and ethics topics to targeted groups of employees on a risk basis.

Evaluation and Monitoring

The Ethics and Compliance program and its key elements are regularly evaluated by internal or external resources. Internal Audit and the Ethics and Compliance team regularly review and monitor the implementation of the Ethics and Compliance program or specific program elements. Third-party due diligence review and monitoring is done through TE’s Business Partner Management program, which is overseen and managed by the Ethics and Compliance team.

Reporting and Investigations

The Ethics and Compliance team works closely with the Office of Ombudsman, the Legal Department, Human Resources, Internal Audit and others to monitor conduct and to help investigate reported ethics and compliance concerns.

Discipline, Remediation, & Incentives

The Ethics and Compliance team helps determine appropriate corrective actions, including employee discipline, employee training, revisions of policies, and correction of gaps in our financial and other process controls to help prevent future misconduct. ​ The Ethics and Compliance team partners with Human Resources and the business and functional leaders and managers to appropriately recognize and incentivize performance in accordance with TE’s values and the Ethics and Compliance program.
