The newest addition to our Cold Applied family of products is the 3/C CSJ for Armored Cables. This splice is available for 15-35kV voltage class and consists of three CSJ bodies and the GMRS rejacketing system. Copper and aluminum shearbolt connectors can also be used.
There is limited stock of the GMRS available, so large orders could be subject to lead time. As the kit is 65-70" in length, ASM's interested in a sample should order the CSJG in order to demonstrate to customers the concept of our cold-shrink joint and separate wrap-around rejacketing system. TE's new line of Copper ShearBolt connectors are range-taking, mechanical connectors that will accommodate a wide range of copper cables from 2/0 AWG compact stranded to 1000 kcmil stranded. The primary application is for underground splices up to 35kV.
The tool required is a standard ratchet wrench with a hexagonal socket. The design incorporates shear head bolts, which ensures that the correct torque is applied to each bolt. Also, this method of installation reduces worker strain compared to a manual compression tool requiring significant force to operate. Learn More » |
We're excited to officially introduce the latest addition to the BCAC family: BCAC-IC-7D/12, Inspection Connection Wildlife Cover.
Our insulating cover is designed to prevent animal caused outages on breaker and transformer bushings ranging from 15 to 35 kV. Tyco Electronics Raychem insulating covers have been successfully eliminating outages from all types of animals for years. This cover has been designed to provide the same great protection with enhanced features. Learn More » |
GMRS rejacketing sleeves quickly and conveniently seal and protect medium voltage cable splices up to 35 kV. GMRS rejacketing sleeves can also be used to repair cables with jacket damage. The robust, yet compact design is engineered to handle the harsh environments of manhole, direct buried or weather-exposed applications. This new product replaces the GelWrap RS - which is obsolete
Installation is literally a snap. Installers will appreciate the simple wrap-around design and dependable mastic sealing performance. To install, use the supplied pre-latch clips and installation snap tool simply wrap and snap the sleeve on any cable in the use range. Learn More » |
The High Voltage Marketing Group is excited to officially introduce our latest IEEE Station Class product offering: IEEE PCA Station Class Surge Arresters. This High Voltage Surge Arrester product offering will protect Power Equipment from 4 315kV Systems.
The PCA series arrester is designed to perform in the toughest environmental conditions and to meet and exceed the requirements of IEC60099-4. Our gapless zinc oxide polymeric arresters have been in service since 1986 and now the PCA range builds on that experience and know how. The PCA development has been based on 30 years of internal experience in arrester design and manufacture within the Tyco Electronics Energy Division. The PCA qualification was performed in internationally recognised and independent laboratory facilities in Europe. Learn More » |
TE Energy, in its continuing effort to diversify our connector offering is proud to announce the launch of the "AA" sizes of the Transverse Wedge Connector. The TWC represents the 2nd generation of Wedge Pressure Technology developed by the same company that introduced Wedge Pressure Technology with the Ampact system. The TWC family provides superior wedge performance and reliability with greater conductor range accommodation - without the need for special application tooling.
The TWC has a unique application method. The connector is hooked over both conductors and then closed. As the connector is tightened the interlocking wedges create deflection in the two independent J members. There is no torque value when tightening the TWC, just bottom out the 2 wedges. The J members provide consistent contact force to both conductors. We will offer the TWC Stirrup in all sizes listed above. The stirrups will have #2 and 1/0 bails available. Learn More » |
