Improved Insertion, Retention, and Contact Stability
F-spring Positive Lock and FASTON receptacles were designed to meet manufacturer and consumer demand for safe, reliable, and energy efficient products. The ergonomic, low insertion force (LIF) F-spring design is safe for operators to assemble, with insertion force as low as 15N per contact. The quick connect receptacle also features a cantilevered surface with a locking dimple that both provides high retention force and helps wipe the contact surface clean during mating. The connected terminal creates multiple electrical contact points, providing excellent contact stability and low contact resistance. F-spring terminal applications include appliances, electric motors, air conditioning and lighting.
