TE Connectivity offers a full service for the assembly of fibre optic patchcords, pigtails and more complex assemblies manufactured to military and defence standards. We are able to manufacture a cable assembly to specifications required by a customer to meet a multitude of combinations. This capability is offered on a wide range of cable types from single core 900µm up to large fibre count trunking cables. State of the art machines are utilized for the preprocessing of cables, polishing of connectorised fibres and testing of the finished assemblies. The fitting of fibre connectors is carried out in a temperature controlled environment.
TE Connectivity produces a large range of fibre optic connectors which permits us to offer most cable and connector requirements from stock. In general, manufacturing lead times for urgent assemblies from materials in stock are able to be dispatched within one to two days. For non-standard requirements we are able to leverage our extensive supplier network to source materials.
The supply of quality assemblies and services are of paramount importance to TE Connectivity. All assemblies are fully tested upon completion to meet or exceed IEC standards. Each connector is individually serialized and has the endface photographed allowing for full traceability of every connector manufactured.
