Overview

TE's Raychem HVS-T/HVSR-T trifurcating transition splices help reduce the complexity of splicing one 3/C PILC cable to three 1/C polymeric cables by converting the PILC cable to a polymeric equivalent, the splices eliminate compound filling and difficult lead wiping which lets you get on and off the job site quickly.

Heat-shrink components help to eliminate lead sleeve failures by replacing lead sleeves and wipes that can crack due to corrosion or cable flexing. HVS-T/HVSR-T series splices provide solderless ground braid connection for PILC cable.

Tested to the electrical and load cycling requirements of IEEE 404 one 3/C (VCLC) cable to three 1/C poly cable. The HVSR kits are for use when the PILC/VCLC cable has a much smaller conductor size than the poly cable.
