What individual efforts do you make to deliver the best service, support, and experience for the customer?

I make a big effort to get to know my customers and their organizations. When you understand what projects are in their pipeline and what goals they have as an organization you can more effectively anticipate their needs.

Can you identify anyone or anything specifically that has played a role in developing your diverse skillset?

I am influenced by everyone I meet. It’s important to keep the door open and to continue to learn. I also think the cultural differences that I’m exposed to within my company and through my diverse customer base has played an important role in developing my skillset.

What is your strategy to motivate your team?

I am lucky to have a team that is very motivated. When someone is having an off day, I remind them to think about where we started and how far we’ve come. We are proud that we are able to achieve certain results, even when they seem impossible. I challenge my team members and recognize their achievements.

If you could look into the future 1-2 years, where would you see the Appliance Business at TE? What would be the highest area for growth?

I see our highest area for growth as being in sensors, where we already have a wonderful stand-alone business in terms of our market position. Our goal is to create customer-centric teams to keep current with the transformation going on in the market.

What do you believe is the most important quality necessary to build partnerships and achieve greatness?

Trust and reliability. Our business is based on long-term relationships with our customers and we take that seriously. It is important that our customers know that we keep our promises.
