HARRISBURG, Pa., USA – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, now offers the SlimSeal connector Circular series, a compact IP67 sealed circular plastic connector for power and signal wire-to-wire applications that need to operate in a harsh environment. The connector’s IP67 rating means that it is completely dust tight as well as resistant to water ingress at depths of up to one meter.
TE’s SlimSeal connector Circular series is available in versions with two, three and four positions as an over-molded cable assembly (cable lengths can be customized upon request). A pre-positioned 1/4 turn coupling ring with positive lock and alignment features simplifies installation. The unique contact pattern for each position size helps prevent accidental mating with other position sizes. A clear locking sound when male and female halves connect helps ensure a secure engagement.
The new connector is designed for use in applications such as outdoor LED lighting, architectural lighting and garden lighting. The two-position type operates at 7 A, while three- and four-position types operate at 6 A; maximum operating voltage is 300 VAC. Operating temperature range is minus 25 degrees to 80 degrees Celsius. The housing is made of a thermoplastic with a UL94 flammability rating of V-0.
