The new PR115 50µ polyester rating label from TE Connectivity is a UL approved, custom design, self-adhesive label in satin silver or gloss white for industrial, solar and automotive applications with no direct UV exposure. Customers use the label to identify motors, engine starters of electric vehicles, relays, hydraulic pumps and electrical installations, as well as solar panels. The label is also suitable for automatic dispense and therefore adds to the efficiency of automated assembly and production processes, e.g. of solar modules. The PR115 50µ polyester rating label offers customers good value as it is competitively priced and does not incrporate features customers might not need. The label's anitcounterfeiting security features indicate abuse through perforation and cutting as well as UV reactive blue light.

HM & HW Identification Labels Now UL Recognized for Solar Applications

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- July 8, 2011 -- TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, announces that its HM high-tack metalized polyester and HW high-tack white polyester labels have received UL recognition for use on the backside of solar panels with typically PVF or PVA surfaces. With this new recognition, the labels are now rated to 125 degrees Celsius -- allowing them to withstand the outside conditions and temperatures that solar panels must endure.

Matte-Finish Polyester Label Increases Readability in Reflective Applications

Where glossy labels can be highly reflective, the matte label finish effectively reduces glare when adhered to polished lighting fixtures, electronic components, etc. The label supports applications such as bar coding, PCB and component labeling, as well as general purpose labeling applications that require a high-durability white label. Even when exposed to a variety of solvents and elevated temperatures as high as 200°F (93°C), the WPM white polyester matte finish label resists cracking and splitting, maintaining both its print quality and initial appearance.

Standards: Compliant to EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC
Samples: Available upon request. Please call +1 800-430-7226.
The technical datasheet TTDS-234 is available on te.com

Bubble-Free Polyester Labels for Clear Identification & Readability

The thermal transfer printable labels lay flat on a variety of high- and low-surface energy plastics and contoured surfaces, even when subjected to 158° F (70°C) for as long as 24 hours. They are also resistant to a variety of solvents while maintaining print quality, which makes them ideal for an array of outdoor power equipment such as lawn power tools. The BFP bubble-free polyester labels are available in white, or silver for a metallic look.

The BFB bubble-free polyester labels meet these standards:

MIL-STD-202 Method 215

MIL-M-81531 for abrasion resistance

Compliant to EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.

Samples are available upon request. Please call +1 800-430-7226.

Also, technical datasheet TTDS-235 is available on te.com.

High Performance Rating Security Label

The HPR330 high-performance-rating label's adhesive formula works on a great range of surfaces. It provides a high security level, which immediately shows abuse: instead of a void message upon removal, the security label introduces a specific perforation. Also, once peeled off it cannot be reaffixed as the texture of the label will change. Designed for harsh, outdoor, and counterfeit environments, the security label is thermal transfer printable and available in white, yellow, or silver backgrounds.

Low Fire Hazard, Heat-Shrinkable Continuous Identification Tubing

DARMSTADT, Germany -- March 28, 2011 -- TE Connectivity (TE) is pleased to announce the launch of a new low fire hazard, heat-shrinkable continuous identification tubing for industrial, rail & mass transit, aerospace & defense, as well as marine applications. HXCT continuous tubing is a flattened, heat-shrinkable tubing, providing superb print quality for crisp clear wire and cable harness identification. The tubing offers several cost and labour benefits during a print run: as it comes on continuous 50m or 100m spools, it minimises the number of spool changes. In addition, sleeves can be printed at a typical print speed of 75mm per second, which increases production speeds. Stock holding can be reduced as the length of the sleeve can be changed to individual requirements, so one part can be used instead of multiple assembled sleeves. Also, there is a flexibility to either cut or perforate the sleeve, with the latter saving manual cutting.
