SIL2 Rated Pressure Transmitters
The SIL (Safety Integrity Level) certification meets IEC 61508 standards.
The SIL process and rating simplify what systems use to predict failure and system maintenance. TE offers various products with 4-20mA output signal that meet the IEC 61508 requirements. SIL2 devices were traditionally used in the downstream oil and gas and chemical process industry, but have seen greater importance in upstream applications to confirm safety and reliability requirements are met. A suffix is added to the end of models requiring the certification. For standard hazardous location ratings and SIL2, the suffix will be "-SL;" example: AST4600A05000P4U1000-SL. If customers require SIL2 and ASME B31.3, the suffix will be "-Y."
INTRINSICALLY SAFE PRESSURE TRANSDUCER
The AST4400 is a stainless steel pressure transducer with a wide variety of options.
IS RATED SUBMERSIBLE TRANSDUCER
The AST4500 and AST4510 submersible pressure transducers are used for monitoring liquid level of water, fuel and oils in intrinsically safe areas with an approved barrier.
NON-INCENDIVE PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS
Certified for Class I Div 2 environments, the AST4300 Non-Incendive pressure transducer can be designed up to 20,000 PSI.
