Complex Designs with Simplified Tooling
AMP MONO-SHAPE products are insulation displacement contact (IDC) wire-to-board connectors meeting the RAST 5 standard. These 5mm pitch printed circuit board (PCB) connectors are engineered to offer design flexibility without requiring multiple application tooling solutions. The connector system features four different versions that are all processed by the same tooling: standard tab connectors, edge mounted PCB connectors, single position connectors (supplied in stick-form with 6 separable cavities), and satellite connectors. This connector variety allows manufacturers to produce extremely complicated harness structures while maintaining high production levels.
