Power connectors are engineered to reliably connect power, providing efficient supply and distribution in communications equipment using between 5 and 1,000 amps. Manufactured for DC- and AC-powered applications, our power connector types are available in many configurations. Our RAPID LOCK connector is a single-pole, quick connect/disconnect replacement for lug connection; our MULTI-BEAM XL is a blind-mateable, highly versatile connector with high reliability and high current density.
We manufacture a broad portfolio of power connectors including busbar connectors for power distribution as well as power supply interconnects, wire-to-board connectors and backplane power connectors. Our power connectors are available for both low-power and high-power applications, with some power connectors capable of carrying up to 500A.
Power Connection Flexibility
In consumer electronics, a power connector connects a battery within a hand held device, while the 5mm Power Key connector connects line voltage to an appliance’s control board. With TE's power connectors, you gain the flexibility to deliver superior designs with reliable, high-density signal integrity at higher data rates.
Our solid contacts are integrated into most of our DEUTSCH connectors for aerospace, defense, and marine applications. These contacts are engineered for standard applications up to 200°C and can help withstand higher temperatures and higher vibration constraints up to 260°C for engine applications. Our contacts can be qualified to the EN3155 standard or to specific customer standards such as ESC or ABS qualifications.
