The 8911 from TE Connectivity (TE) is a compact, reliable sensor with a LoRaWAN™ Class A protocol used for condition monitoring applications where signal reliability is critical. This wireless IoT sensor enables customers to expand remote condition monitoring systems into more critical equipment, improving the uptime of machinery, preventing incidents or detecting them sooner. It's mounting footprint and stud size are standard to enable fast installation on new and existing machinery. The 8911 combines a sensor, data collector and a LoRaWAN™ radio into one compact, battery-operated device. This compact sensor is designed with a corrosion resistant stainless steel case and plastic covering. The rugged, IP66 rated O-ring seal allows the sensor to perform well in harsh environments. This accelerometer uses a piezo sensing element which has the advantage of high bandwidth and ultra low power vs MEMS solutions. This enables longer battery life of up to 10 years and ultra low sleep power usage.
