Application
Multiple Materials, durometers and complex lumen configurations
Our extrusions are used in the most challenging coronary, peripheral and neurovascular applications.
TE's dedicated extrusion teams specialize in complex multi-lumen and implantable grade extrusions. Our facilities are all medical and ISO 13485 certified, and we employ the latest technology with six in-house extrusion lines to provide tight tolerances and high-quality medical extrusions quickly and efficiently. Our expert engineers can handle complex extrusions most other extruders are not willing to take on, and are ready to collaborate with you to refine your design and implement a manufacturing solution to meet your needs, for “one-off” or high-volume manufacturing.
Capabilities
- Standard medical grade materials include: PEBA, polyamide, polyurethane, polyester and thermoplastic elastomer materials
- Diameters ranging from 0.010” to 0.400”
- Wall thickness ranging from 0.0015” to 0.075″
- Discrete lengths or spools available
- In-house die design and fabrication
- Internal annealing advanced measurement systems
- Critical visual inspection for implantable extrusions
Our Facilities:
California & Minnesota
- 100% medical
- Dedicated quick-turn extrusion team
- 5,000 square feet of extrusion space in two U.S. locations: San Jose, CA (FDA registered) and Eden Prairie, MN
- Extrusion in Class 100,000 clean room – Eden Prairie, MN
- ISO 13485 – LAL bioburden testing available
- In-house die design and fabrication
