Visualization & Imaging

We implement a proven process to ensure the image quality of our modular design is of as high a standard as the reusable endoscopes on the market. Design, model, verify and automate.

  • Design - we leverage 48 years' experience in fine wire and cable development to configure custom cables for off-the-shelf CMOS sensors.
  • Model - We utilize in-house advanced simulation and testing to model cable performance.
  • Verify - We verify the cable design by subjecting the physical prototype to environmental and mechanical stressors.
  • Automate - Once we’ve verified the chosen cable design, we can use our in house fine wire automation capabilities to help with the labor intensive termination time in high volume productions.

Complex steerable shafts

For our single-use endoscope solutions we use a combination of hypotubes, braid, coil and metal/polymer composites. By taking what we know about these materials from our work in structural heart, coronary, neurovascular and peripheral applications, we can choose the right combination to provide enhanced push, track, flex and torque performance without adding significant costs to the design. We then test the steering performance of our design using 3D benchtop models of the anatomy.

We know rapid prototyping plays an important role in keeping the costs of an R&D project down. Every design iteration adds cost and time. That’s why we have dedicated engineers and equipment to support your single-use endoscope development.
