What experiences shaped your career?

I came from India at a young age and worked as an engineer for 6+ years in a very large plant environment, supporting full product life-cycle. (new products to end of life) These experiences that have allowed me to contribute directly to the top and bottom lines of the company have shaped my career.

What do you enjoy most about working at TE?

There truly is no dull moment. Every day, I work on issues ranging from our plant in California needing support for customer deliveries to negotiations with suppliers on the other side of the world. TE is a strong global company with emphasis on innovation at all levels, and with our TEOA mindset, we drive to continually improve as an organization.

3

What concepts and ideas excite you?

The diversity of TE’s products, being a leader in many industries, the adjacencies that we have developed or acquired, having an ability to move around the company in other functions/regions/businesses to make a bigger contribution and upper management recognizing that we can always get better.

4

How do you predict the company will be different in two years, and how do you see yourself shaping that change?

Based on the past 6 years, I can see TE acquiring more companies to complement what we already do as well as divest business that are no longer part of our core. I also see us becoming more nimble & lean in order to react faster to market and customer needs.

What advice would you give a new candidate looking to break into the field of technology?

Think outside of your core responsibility. There is no reason that employees in finance or engineering can't ask questions to someone in operations, quality or sales - it is all relevant. We value and appreciate people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. It is important to make your contributions cross-functional at all levels.
