2-Year Installer Certification for Raychem High Voltage Cable Accessories (HVCA)

Gain the technical knowledge and practical skills to successfully and safely install selected Raychem HVCA products from TE Connectivity (TE), ranging from 69 kV to 230 kV. Our installer certification is valid for two years depending upon your course selection. Courses cover dry terminations, compact pluggable switchgear terminations, inline and shield break splices.

The Training Includes:

• Overview of our product design specifications

• Review of our product installation instructions

• Installation techniques and methods

• Cable preparation assessment

• Identification of installation errors

• Increased grid reliability thanks to our experts' installer practices and trainer knowledge

• Installation consulting support during your 2-year certificate

• Stay up to date with the latest product updates and innovations 

• You are an installer or splicer of HV cable accessories

• You have 1+ years of HVCA product installation experience, including HV cable preparation, system extension, connection, refurbishment, maintenance and repairs

• You are required to provide TE with a cable preparation certificate before registration

Participants must bring:

• Appropriate PPE equipment including fire resistant clothing, safety shoes or boots, and gloves

• Appropriate hand tools

High voltage installation tools are provided but trainees also can bring their own tools for the training class.

Standard cable and accessories will be used:

• 500 kcmil to 2000 kcmil cable Al/Cu with Cu wire and Al foil
