TE Connectivity Ltd. (TE) (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is releasing its K200 series contactors, a small, lightweight, and efficient 200-Amp 28 VDC power switching solution for stringent 28 VDC aerospace and defense applications. The single pole, single throw, normally open contactors are designed for use in DC power distribution systems in commercial and military aircraft and ground vehicles.

Aerospace power distribution system engineers continually search for the smallest and lightest solutions in power handling and switching devices. The K200 contactors by TE offer a compact solution to save weight and space. The contactors feature a reliable switching mechanism to keep power consumption and heat low and maximize performance. The K200 series is also equipped to handle high inrush loads.

“Our K200 contactor product series addresses the market demand for increased power to weight ratio,” said Dan Smith, product manager, Global Aerospace, Defense & Marine, TE Connectivity. “This product family offers substantial advantage over 200-Amp contactors of the past with a time tested record of reliability.”

The contactors are available in bus bar or chassis mounts to support power panel or standalone positions. The series was also designed and tested by TE to comply with Mil-PRF-6106 requirements.
