EU RoHS/ELV

Always EU RoHS/ELV Compliant
Converted to EU RoHS/ELV Compliant

These products comply with the substance restrictions of the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). These products also comply with the End of Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV). The RoHS2 Directive requires certain electrical and electronic products be free (except for trace impurities) of mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, and lead. Certain exemptions are allowed, such as lead used as an alloying additive in copper, steel, and aluminum. Finished electrical and electronic products will be CE marked as required by Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). Components may not be CE marked.

These products comply with the substance restrictions of the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2) but NOT with the End of Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV). These products utilize exemptions in the RoHS2 Directive that are not allowed in the ELV Directive. Finished electrical and electronic products will be CE marked as required by Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). Components may not be CE marked.

These products comply with the End of Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV). The ELV Directive requires that certain automotive products be free (except for trace impurities) of mercury, cadmium, and lead. Lead can still be used as an alloying additive in copper, steel, and aluminum, as well as in solderable applications.

 

Not EU RoHS or ELV Compliant
These products do NOT comply with the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2) and the End of Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV). This means that these products contain lead or other materials that are restricted in these Directives. Consequently, these should NOT be used in any application requiring RoHS2 or ELV compliance.

 

5 of 6 EU RoHS/ELV Compliant
These products comply with the End of Life Vehicles Directive 2000/53/EC (ELV) but due to lead in the solderable interface do NOT comply with the Restriction on Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2). However, these products may be suitable for use in applications where there is a RoHS2 product based exemption for lead in solders, such as the server, storage, or network infrastructure exemption.

These typically would be products that are not electrical or electronic in nature nor would be used in electrical/electronic equipment covered by these Directives. Customers should verify this assessment prior to use.

China RoHS

China RoHS - Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP) Symbol
EPUP E  No hazardous material exists over the threshold of GB/T 26572-2011 standard - China's Requirements for Concentration Limits for Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products. 

EPUP 30  Hazardous material exists over the threshold of GB/T 26572-2011. The number shown in the center of the symbol indicates the Environmental Protection Use Period as defined by SJ/T 11364-2014 – China's Marking for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products.

Halogen Content

Low Halogen
These products contain less than 900 ppm of each Bromine, Chlorine, Fluorine, and Iodine per homogenous material. Products also meet the definitions of Low Bromine/Chlorine and BFR/CFR/PVC Free.


Low Bromine/Chlorine
These products contain less than 900 ppm of Bromine and Chlorine per homogenous material. May contain Fluorine or Iodine, or content of Fluorine or Iodine is unknown. Product also meets definition of BFR/CFR/PVC Free.


BFR/CFR/PVC Free
These products contain less than 900 ppm of Bromine and Chlorine in flame retardants or PVC, and may contain Bromine and Clorine not in BFR/CFR/PVC; may also contain Fluorine and Iodine.


Not Low Halogen
These products contain Bromine or Chlorine greater than 900 ppm and may also contain Fluorine or Iodine.


Out of Scope
These products are specifically excluded from Halogen requirements.
