Primary Wire – T4 (150°C)

All-around performer. TE's Raychem automotive composite wire (ACW) for engine harness applications is mechanically robust and provides smaller, lighter wires with high performance for fluid resistance.

Proven, high performance engine bay wire. Our Raychem T4 automotive composite wire (ACW) is 150° C rated, provides a class D thin-wall, is mechanically robust and has a composite wire for engine harness applications. This outer layer is bonded to a radiation cross-linked polyolefin. The unique bonding gives the additional benefit for improvements in the mechanical performance of the wire along with the capability to be terminated using recognized industry standards. The wires provide smaller, lighter and more flexible options, providing easy installation.

Benefits

Primary Wire – T4 (150°C)
  • Smaller, lighter more flexible wires – providing easier installation.
  • Designed to be compatible with typical wire-handling equipment used in harness factories through the unique bonding of the two layers.
  • High level of compatibility with materials used in the harnessing process.
  • Thin-wall designs – providing improved handling and space savings and manufactured connector compatibility benefits.
  • Low friction characteristics – slides over bundles (resists blocking at high temperatures).
